Camels are wonderful animals that live in the hot desert. They have special features, called adaptations, to help them survive there. One important physical adaptation is their big, wide feet. These feet keep them from sinking in the sand and help them walk smoothly across the desert.
Camels also have a smart behavioral adaptation: they can drink lots of water at once and search for it when needed. This way, they can stay hydrated even when they go long periods without water. These adaptations help camels stay strong and healthy in the dry, sandy desert!
