Beer of the Month February 2015
Item of the month becomes Beer of the month!
I am very excited to introduce a new direction for Bumble&Co! As a Vancouver lifestyle blog I think it’s fitting to include a segment on craft beer and local breweries. New breweries are popping up all over the place. It seems that Vancouver has a crazy thirst for beer. Over the next couple months I will be featuring new and upcoming breweries and my favourite beer from them.
My beer choice this month is Stanley Park 1897 Amber Ale. I tried this beer at the Terminal Pub in New Westminster. I am not a huge fan of hops so this beer is perfect for me.
Stanley Park Brewery was founded here in BC in 1897. Their Belgian style amber ale has quickly spread across pubs and bars across the lower mainland. Brewed with natural ingredients; it is smooth and fruity, with a light body. It has a slight honey flavouring, with mild hops and a clean finish. It is sweeter than typical amber ales and has a malty caramel aroma. It is a medium amber brown in colour with a thin head. It is easy to drink, a great go-to and the best part is: this beer is available year round!
