West Domestic
West Domestic is a little Etsy shop full of one of a kind weavings. It includes blankets, wallhangings, necklacess and pillows; work that is both beautiful and functional. Focusing on quality over quantity, her work mixes fibers, textures and colours to create unique lasting items.

Maddison took weaving in her last semester of college for extra credit and fell in love. Her business simply started out making things for her family and friends and developed from there into an Etsy shop.
Originally she had no logo, no real name for her brand and no plan for what she wanted her shop to become. She wasn't satisfied with how things were going or how her work was being portrayed and sometimes it would be months between sales. It was then that she decided that it was time to set a brand and a name she was excited about and proud of.
She had always had one of a kind pieces of clothing from her seamstress mother as a child, and now as an adult she appreciates one of a kind pieces so much more. In today's society most items are factory made or mass produced, so it is all the more special to receive something that has been made one of a kind just for you.
Maddison is an Arkansan native living with her husband Zack in Kentucky. She's a card game playing, Pyrex loving 1950's enthusiast working two part time jobs on top of making her amazing weavings. As someone who is dedicated to her passion, she makes sure to set aside at least one hour a day to work on pieces for West Domestic. This way even through her busy life West Domestic is continually growing.
"I come from a family of hands-on, hardworking makers. We all dabble in something--painting, drawing, sculpting, gardening, crocheting, sewing, styling, you name it. We love art and we love to keep our hands busy. Only now do I realize how lucky I am to have been surrounded by creativity my whole life. "
Over the next few years she plans on perfecting her brand, getting her name out there, and establishing a clientele. She is passionate about her work and would love to make West Domestic her sole work focus. for now she will keep honing her skills and making beautiful weavings. Starting small and continually growing.
