Stay Home Series - Simple Sock Bunny Tutorial
Stay Home Series - Simple Sock Bunny Tutorial
What better way to come together with your child than to create something fun together with your hands! This simple sock bunny tutorial is the perfect project. It’s not only fun but it’s snuggly and cute too! Rice activities are perfect for sensory play for your child so have fun scooping the rice with your hands and letting it run through their fingers. This is also a great opportunity to practice math through measuring and fine motor skills with scooping, pouring, tying, cutting, and coloring.
Many of us are social distancing by staying at home, and with that comes the task of keeping little ones entertained and engaged. Our #StayHome series features homeschooling moms from all over the world who are sharing little crafts and fun tutorials just like this one.
Enjoy!
Materials needed:
An old wool sock
Rice
Scissors
Elastics
Markers
Steps:
1. Take your sock and fill it up 1/2 of the way with rice then tie an elastic.
2: Fill 1/4 of the rest of the sock with rice then tie another elastic.
3: Take your scissors and cut the remaining fabric of the sock down the middle to make its ears.
4: Now you can draw on your little bunny face with your markers.
And there you have it! Your rice bunny is finished! Time for a name and some snuggles.
For an extra warm snuggle, pop your bunny in the microwave for a few seconds and cuddle up tight!
I hope you enjoy this fun activity with your children and share your rice bunny photos with us!
